TUBES CLOGGED WITH HUGE BED
The Westin Miyako hotel had no problem giving us a complementary room upgrade, but ‘net costs (much) extra. I went down to the lobby, to hopefully watch someone’s username/password go by on the wire, but nobody was dumb enough to pay $15/hour for wifi.

Sorry about no-updates for a little while there, our fancypants hotel in Kyoto was SO FANCY that they wanted to charge us $16 a day for internet. Yeah right.

We’re Shinkansen-ing down to Kyoto today. I hear the shuttle for our hotel is near-impossible to find, so I hope we get lucky and don’t have to do an epic hunt for the thing :(

Travel day - July 11th-12th
Hoooooyeah, jetlag. We woke up at 4am due to having an accidental 3-hour nap last night :( Western Breakfast doesn’t start until 6, and pretty much nothing else is open until 10am. July 11th-12th - Travel day THREE SCREAMING BABIES ON THE PLANE. awesome. One of them was so scared out of its wits, that it was making some extremely unnerving noises. Y’know how when a baby cries too hard...
